Recipe Notes
- Don't waste the ends you slice off – eat them!
- Use whatever apples you enjoy eating for this recipe.
Here's how to make it:
- Slice the ends off of the apples and then slice into 1/3-inch thick slices. Using a hard lid (we used an olive oil top) press out the core and seeds of each slice.
- Place your chocolate chips and coconut oil in a saucepan and melt on medium-low until creamy, gently stirring with a spatula every now and then.
- When the chocolate is melted, remove it from heat and dip the apple slices into the chocolate. Place the apples on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Continue until all the slices are coated in chocolate.
- Place the caramels in a small saucepot on medium-low heat. Use a spatula to stir and melt them completely. Using a spatula, drizzle the caramel over the apple slices.
- If you would like nuts, sprinkle them on the apple slices. Place the apple slices into the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove and let the whole family enjoy!
