Recipe Notes

  • If you can't find lumpia wrappers, use rice paper, spring roll wrappers or eggroll wrappers. Lumpia wrappers are best, and you can order them with the link below.
  • Lumpia wrappers should be naturally gluten-free, but to be sure, check the package.
  • Try this recipe with ground turkey or ground chicken.
  • Add some crushed red pepper flakes for a little spice.
  • Keep the lumpia wrappers covered while filling so they don't dry out.
  • You could add some finely chopped onion to the filling.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.
  2. Stir together the pork, carrots, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper (to taste) and soy sauce in a mixing bowl. Let the mixture marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Put a lumpia wrapper on a work surface. Put about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture on one side of the wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold in both sides. Fold the top and then roll to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Put the filled lumpia into the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray. Do not overcrowd! Spray both sides with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for about 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Flip the lumpia over and continue to cook until the other side is golden, about 2 minutes.
  5. Serve the lumpia hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
