Recipe Notes

  • Use the honey if you are using plain yogurt or want your treats extra sweet.
  • Use the vanilla if you are using plain yogurt but want the flavor of vanilla.
  • To keep these treats fresh, store them in the refrigerator.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Add strawberries, yogurt, honey and vanilla extract to a large bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly to combine.
  3. Place a spoonful of the yogurt mixture (about 2 tablespoons) on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet to form the clusters. You should get about eight to 10 nuggets. Put the sheet with the yogurt clusters into the freezer. Freeze until they are completely frozen and solid, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Once they are frozen, melt the chocolate. Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl and cook for 30-second intervals, stirring in between each one, until the chips are all melted.
  5. Remove the yogurt nuggets from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate. (I used a spoon to make sure each one is thoroughly coated.) Once coated with chocolate, place each nugget back on the prepared baking sheet. Add a sprinkle of sea salt, if you’d like.
  6. Place the clusters back in the freezer for a few minutes to ensure the chocolate hardens a bit. Remove from freezer and enjoy or place into a freezer safe container.
