Recipe Notes

  • I didn’t have two cookie sheets available so I just used a cake pan and stacked it underneath the cookie sheet to prevent burning.
  • Try this recipe with other fruit jams like raspberry, strawberry, peach, blueberry or blackberry.
  • Store the puff pastry appetizers in an airtight container.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Unroll the pastry dough and place on a sheet of parchment paper. Put a little flour on a rolling pin and roll the dough out to be about 12 inches long. Spread the fig jam out on the dough leaving a 1/2-inch margin on one long side. Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese on top of the jam.
  2. Wet the 1/2-inch border with water and roll up the pastry. Press the seam to close.
  3. Slide the parchment onto a cutting board and place in the freezer for 20 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F while the roll is in the freezer. Remove roll from the freezer and slice into 10 pieces.
  4. Stack two cookie sheets together to prevent burning and line the top one with parchment paper. Place the rolls flat on the parchment.
  5. Bake for about 22 to 24 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and cool for 10 minutes and enjoy warm!
