OMG Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe Is Summer Sweetness At Its Best

We were traveling this past month for a large family get-together and my sister brought the most beautiful crate of fresh peaches. Enter this beautiful and delicious peach cobbler dessert your friends and family will be asking you to make over and over. This fruit cobbler recipe makes great use of those juicy, summer peaches.

To make this sweet peach cobbler you will need just a few simple ingredients: fresh peaches, sugar, cinnamon, flour, baking powder, salt, butter, lemon juice (fresh is best) and milk. The cut peaches are tossed in cinnamon and sugar. The topping is a combination of flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, melted butter, milk and lemon juice. It's spooned over the sweetened fruit and baked until golden.

Serve bowls of this irresistible peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an unforgettable dessert.

Recipe Notes

  • Try this easy cobbler recipe with nectarines instead of peaches.
  • Let the cobbler sit a bit before serving so the juices have time to thicken up.
  • This cobbler recipe could easily be cut in half and baked in an 8x8-inch pan.
  • Leave the peach peel on if you prefer.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Place peeled and cut peaches into the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking pan. Toss with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  2. In a medium bowl make topping by combining all the dry ingredients and then adding milk, lemon juice and melted butter. Mix until dry ingredients are combined.
  3. Spoon the mixture over the top of the peaches.
  4. Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for 40 to 50 minutes until top is golden brown. Remove and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
