Creamy Coffee Whipped Cream Recipe Will Blow Your Mocha-Loving Mind (4 Ingredients)

Attention coffee lovers: this is not a drill! This creamy coffee whipped cream recipe will blow your mocha-loving mind. If you've been following my homemade whipped cream recipes, you know I'm obsessed with making my own whipped cream in a variety of flavors. Well, this latest whipped cream recipe just may be my favorite yet!

If you're a coffee addict like me, then you really need this coffee whipped cream recipe in your life. I combined that coffee flavor we love with a dash of cocoa and folded it into a creamy dessert topping that will Blow. Your. Mind. Or, at least your tastebuds.

This easy, four-ingredient coffee whipped cream recipe wraps the flavors of coffee and chocolate into a rich topping that elevates so many desserts. This amazing gluten-free whipped cream treat is so simple to make – all you need is heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder and instant coffee granules. The vanilla extract is optional. You beat the ingredients with your electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Within five minutes, you're in mocha heaven!

I served this low-sodium whipped cream on top of tiramisu and it made that decadent dessert even better (believe it or not, tiramisu can get even better!). You also can use it on top of cakes and cupcakes, pies, cookies, hot chocolate and yes, even your coffee. Your mocha is about to get so much better!

Recipe Notes

  • For best results, use heavy whipping cream that's very cold. It also helps to put your mixing bowl and mixer's whisk attachment into the refrigerator to chill about 15 to 20 minutes before using them so they are also cold.
  • I used an electric mixer, but you could try to make it without one by using a cold wire whisk and beating the ingredients rapidly until peaks form.
  • If you'd like less coffee flavor, use a 3/4 teaspoon of coffee granules. If you'd like more coffee flavor, use 1 1/4 teaspoons of coffee granules. If you're unsure, you can taste test by starting with a 3/4 teaspoon of coffee. Combine all the ingredients in the mixer and mix for about 30 seconds. Stop the mixer and dip a spoon into the bowl to taste it before adding more coffee. You can do the same thing with the cocoa powder.
  • I like the added flavor of a teaspoon of vanilla extract, but that is optional.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You also can freeze it.

Here's how to make it:

To the bowl of your electric mixer, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, coffee granules and vanilla extract, if using.

Beat on medium to high speed until stiff peaks form, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Serve over your favorite desserts, in coffee or on its own with a spoon.
