TikTok's Feta Eggs Recipe Taco Style Makes an Eggs-cellent Taco Night Dinner

This is another version of the feta egg recipe that went viral on TikTok. I made a feta egg taco version that is so simple and delicious. This is the perfect way to change up taco night.

To make these easy feta egg tacos you will need one egg and one tortilla per person (more if they have big appetites!), feta cheese crumbles, guacamole, salsa (jarred or homemade salsa) and olive oil. You can also chop up some optional fresh tomatoes, too. Serve these egg tacos while they're hot with your favorite taco night side dishes.

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbles
  • olive oil or nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons guacamole (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon salsa (or to taste)
  • 1 flour or corn tortilla
  • fresh chopped tomatoes (optional)

  • Adjust the amounts of each ingredient to fit your tastes.
  • You could add fresh cilantro, chopped red onion, jalapenos or even cooked diced potatoes.

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Heat a frying pan on medium heat. Add a bit of cooking spray or oil and spread your feta crumbles in a circle around the outside edge of the pan. Let cheese melt for about 1 minute.
  2. Crack an egg in the middle and sprinkle it with pepper. When the egg is mostly cooked, place a lid on the pan to cook the egg until the edges are crispy and cheese is melted onto the egg. Remove egg from pan and place on a plate. 
  3. In the warm frying pan heat a tortilla on both sides. Place on a plate and transfer the egg on top of the tortilla. Add any toppings you enjoy, like salsa, guacamole and fresh tomatoes. Fold into a taco and enjoy!
