To make this seed bread recipe you will need sunflower, pumpkin, flax and sesame seeds, whole-wheat flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, eggs, buttermilk, rolled oats, olive oil and maple syrup or honey. The bread bakes up in about 50 minutes in the oven. No kneading!

- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds, unsalted (divided)
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds, unsalted (divided)
- 3 tablespoons flax seeds (divided)

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk (see Recipe Notes)
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

- For even more flavor, toast the sunflower, pumpkin, flax and sesame seeds in a dry skillet until fragrant.

- Store the bread in an airtight container on the counter.
Here's how to make it:
- Stir together the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds and sesame seeds in a mixing bowl. Remove about 2 tablespoons and set aside for the topping. Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk to combine.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs to blend. Add the buttermilk, rolled oats, oil and honey or maple syrup. Whisk to combine.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until combined. Spread the batter into a 9x5-inch loaf pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with the reserved seeds.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven until golden and a toothpick comes out clean, about 45 to 55 minutes (ovens vary). Remove and cool about 20 minutes in the pan before removing to cool completely.
