When I think of salmon, I usually think savory. But sometimes, you just have to shake things up a bit. Enter this easy bourbon peach-glazed salmon recipe, a succulent seafood dinner with an unexpectedly sweet southern flavor.
What makes this salmon recipe so special? First of all, bourbon. Second of all, peaches. If those two ingredients don't do it for you, then let me share the rest of the ingredients to tip you over the edge: honey, garlic powder and chipotle powder. That's all you need to make this luscious salmon that just might convert you from savory to sweet (as it did for me)!
Despite how fancy it may sound, this salmon dinner is a quick recipe to make. Because of its simplicity, it works well for weeknight dinners. But it's elegant enough to serve if you're having company. So easy and delicious!

Ingredients
- 1 pound (16 ounces) fresh salmon filet
- 3 large peaches, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon chipotle powder

Recipe Notes
- You can use more or less bourbon, to taste, or omit the bourbon altogether. If you omit the bourbon, you could use the same amount of vanilla extract or pineapple juice in its place.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Leftover salmon is great to use in a salmon spread recipe or salmon salad recipe.
Here's how to make it:
- Place the salmon filet in a casserole dish or baking pan lined with aluminum foil. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, add the bourbon, honey, garlic and chipotle powders. Whisk to combine. Pour the mixture in a skillet or saucepan. Add the peaches and stir to combine. Cook the peaches in the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the peaches are soft and saucy and the mixture is thick.
- Pour half of the sauce over the salmon, ensuring the salmon is covered in the sauce.
- Broil the salmon for about 10 minutes, or until desired doneness. Keep an eye on it to ensure the glaze doesn't burn. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer.
- Remove from oven and spread the remaining peach sauce on top of the salmon. Serve with your favorite side dishes (I served mine with roasted potatoes and broccoli).
