This Creamy Strawberry Clementine Smoothie Recipe Provides a Healthy Blast of Vitamin C

Whether you're feeling under the weather or are just looking to keep your immune system strong, getting some vitamin C into your system is always a good idea. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that supports the immune system and strengthens skin, joints and bones, among many other health benefits of vitamin C.

This creamy strawberry clementine smoothie recipe provides a berry big blast of vitamin C. Strawberries and clementines, a mandarin fruit similar to a tangerine, offer high amounts of vitamin C. In fact, clementines have slightly higher levels of vitamin C than tangerines, and just two of them provide more than your daily need for the vitamin.

That's why this easy fruit smoothie recipe is a no-brainer for whenever you need a quick vitamin C fix. You need only six ingredients to make this refreshing smoothie: strawberries, clementines, bananas, yogurt, almond milk and orange juice. Blend all the ingredients until smooth then enjoy as a healthy breakfast, snack, fruity dessert or energizing beverage any time of day!

Recipe Notes

  • If you don't have fresh strawberries, you can use frozen strawberries.
  • For a more shake-like consistency, you can use frozen bananas.
  • Feel free change the type of yogurt you use (such as plain or vanilla, etc.).
  • To make this smoothie dairy-free, you can use dairy-free milk (I used almond milk) and dairy-free yogurt (I used coconut-milk-based yogurt).

Here's how you make it:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into your favorite smoothie glasses. Garnish with mint leaves, if desired, and enjoy!
