Making gravy can stress some people out on Thanksgiving Day. But there's no need to chop giblets, strain, stress or fuss to make rich turkey gravy for that turkey or those mashed potatoes. This easy turkey gravy recipe takes the stress out of gravy making.
To make this rich homemade turkey gravy you will need the pan drippings from your roasted turkey, flour (all-purpose or gluten-free flour) and either chicken broth or water. The ingredients simply cook up in a saucepot in about five minutes. No more stressing about the turkey gravy!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup turkey drippings
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth or water
Here’s how to make it:
- Pour the turkey drippings into a saucepot. Whisk in the flour. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, over medium heat until bubbly. (To make this a gluten-free gravy, use gluten-free flour.)
- Add the chicken broth or water. Bring to a boil and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. (Chicken broth instead of water will make this a richer, more flavorful, gravy. If you want to make more gravy, simply double the recipe.) Store any leftover gravy in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
