After making a recipe using wonton wrappers, I had quite a few left sitting in my fridge. My mind immediately went to wonton chips, and I was curious to see if my idea would work. It did! The crisp factor of these homemade Asian-inspired wonton chips is off the charts, and they are so quick and easy to make.
To make these crunchy baked wonton chips you will need wonton wrappers, cooking spray and salt. The wonton wrappers are cut into thirds, placed on a baking sheet, sprayed with cooking spray and baked until golden brown and crisp.
Make a batch and serve with your favorite dip ( crab rangoon dip or chili onion crunch oil would be amazing) or hummus, on top of an Asian salad or eggroll casserole (check out this chicken chow mein casserole recipe), or just as a snack. Get crazy and add a seasoning along with the salt at the end. Asian five spice powder or smoked paprika, maybe?

Recipe Notes
- You could bake these wonton chips in an air fryer.
- You could season the wontons with your favorite seasonings. Think Asian five spice powder, smoked paprika or even everything bagel seasoning.
- Store the wonton chips in an airtight container.
Here's how to make it:
- Cut each wonton wrapper into thirds (or in half if you want larger chips) and lay them on a baking sheet. Spray with a light coating of cooking spray.
- Bake in a preheated 400-degree F oven for about 4 to 5 minutes. Watch them closely because they burn very quickly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with salt. Store in a plastic zipper bag.
