Our tribe's first autumn get-together was such a blast, and our special guest was Dr. Christina Hibbert! Dr. Christi, a licensed clinical psychologist, best-selling author and mom of six (yes, six!) kids, flew in all the way from Arizona as part of her Mastery of Motherhood tour. It was the fourth time she and I have been together IRL, and each visit is better than the last. What I love most about Christi is her authenticity. From her own experience and from her expertise as a therapist, she keeps it real while giving others the tools and resources they need to live healthier lives.

We were so thrilled that Cheryl Leahy of All Dressed Up With Nothing to Drink and her adorable daughter, Charlotte, joined us for the interview. Cheryl is a mom of two who blogs about fashion, style, beauty and entertaining, all while making motherhood look easy. She was on hand to dispel that myth, however, and join in a "keep it real" discussion about the challenges of being a mom.

Christi started by asking us if we thought we had mastered motherhood, and why or why not? This opened up a great dialogue about what that means and if you can ever truly master being a mom. Christi shared that her Mastery of Motherhood tour is about research for her book of the same name. She also talked about her other books, how she unexpectedly became a mom of six and much more. 

"I'm working on a book about the skills of motherhood with a focus on self-mastery/personal growth as the key," Dr. Christi shares. "I have wanted to write a book on motherhood since graduate school, but it always seemed too daunting a task. Who could possibly write a book about motherhood when it’s so vast, so important, so unexpected, so individual? Now, over 15 years later, I’m ready to take on the challenge."
