Airplane travel can be challenging with kids, especially when you’ve got a long flight. When we fly with our kids, I pack them each a “surprise” bag filled with little toys, books and games. Each surprise bag has small new toys or activities like:
- sticker books
- modeling clay
- small board books
- coloring books
The key is to take each activity out one at a time to keep kids occupied during those long hauls. As an added bonus, I include some licorice chews (for older kids) to snack on during take off and landing, since chewing helps reduce the pressure in their ears.
