Ann Marie is a Staff Writer for 30Seconds. She is a professor, speaker, award-winning writer, and mom. She is the author of the internationally-produced bullying-prevention play "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" and award-winning picture book "Bucket Filling Fairy." Her book and play have been adapted into a musical by professional theatre company Virginia Rep. Ann Marie is a proud graduate of Le Moyne College and VCU, where she earned her MFA in 2003 and currently teaches in the Honors College. Her courses include City-as-Text: Richmond, City-as-Text: London, Storytelling, and Social Justice & the Arts. You can also see her work at HuffPost and Medium. In addition to writing, she enjoys traveling, the arts, and discussing books with her book club. Ann Marie lives in central Virginia with her husband, sons, and spoiled dogs, Phinnie and Nala.
