Foster Care Awareness: How Being There to Listen Can Start the Healing Process! by Jan Mostrom
Our family does temporary fostering of children. I tend to stay in touch with many of them and they continue to flow in and out of our lives. Sometimes, the best we can do is be there for a friend or a child.
Is there someone you can show up for today? Listening and being a consistent and caring friend helps re-establish trust and confidence. Sometimes, it's enough to start the healing process.
