Meditation Mantras: Try This Simple Mantra to Help You Fall Asleep Mindfulness

I lead a 200-hour yoga teacher training. One of my teacher trainees shared this meditation mantra she discovered for help in falling asleep. I found that it helps with shifting the mind and vibe and it can be done anytime. Try it while moving through a Sun Salute, walking outdoors, etc. Here's how to do it:

  • Take a deep breath.
  • Say, "I give love and gratitude." Exhale. 
  • Inhale. Say, "I receive love and gratitude."
  • Repeat at least 12 times.

I love this. Lately I've been attuned to the Loving kindness practice. And if I need it another mantra I find helpful is, What do I need right now. Not necessarily a mantra, yet it is.... May you have a peaceful day.
