As We Enter the New Year, How Do You Want Others to Describe Your Future Self?

I was recently at an event where someone I knew from my childhood was being introduced. As I listened to this introduction, I chuckled a little to myself. My thoughts went back to the friend I knew as a teenager. Never would I have imagined that 20 years later she would be standing in this venue being introduced to this group of people. And never would I have expected the words that were used to describe her! Not because they weren’t true, but because it was so far from who I knew 20 years ago.

As you stand in the first days of 2021, now is the time to think about the words that you want someone to use to describe you.

THINK FORWARD in the future. What words are being used to describe you? What is one thing you can start doing to get closer to that reality?

I thought about this once, only took it a step further and wondered what my obituary would sound like if it were written today and were TOTALLY honest. Do that exercise and you'll definitely find yourself chuckling!
