Most moms I know could benefit from doing yoga. It helps with relaxation, flexibility and strength, among other benefits. One of the basic positions to try is Downward Dog. Here’s how to do it:
- Start on your hands and knees, with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.
- Spread your fingers wide like starfish.
- Hook your toes under as you push yourself back into an inverted V position.
- Gently lift your sitting bones up as you press your heels down toward the earth.
- Feel the great stretch!
