Have you ever loved a restaurant so much that you make appointments on certain times and days so you can eat lunch there? Guilty. There's a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant near the salon I get my hair cut at that is so good. One of my favorite things there is the little loaf of complimentary fresh-baked Italian bread that is served with a delicious bread dipping oil. One day I got brave and asked for the recipe. You. Are. Welcome.
This authentic restaurant-style Italian bread dipping oil recipe is so quick and easy to make. Here is your shopping list for this Italian snack or appetizer recipe: dried oregano, dried basil, parsley flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes and extra-virgin olive oil. Optional ingredients that I highly recommend include fresh garlic and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. You can also add some sea salt, but that's up to you.
One thing I was told is to be sure to use a good-quality, extra-virgin olive oil. No exceptions. Check out the health benefits of olive oil.
Serve this Italian restaurant-quality bread dip with hot bread or even croutons. Sometimes I'll top the dip with some fresh olives.

Here's how to make it:
