This spicy Greek feta dip recipe, also known as tirokafteri, is a wonderful addition to any vegetable platter or with kebobs, pita bread or roasted chicken breasts. (I'll have my kebob recipe up soon!) It only takes fives minutes to throw the ingredients into a food processor or blender, and out comes this thick and creamy dip that tastes great as a snack or an interesting appetizer.
To make this spicy feta dip, you will need the following gluten-free ingredients from your fridge and pantry: feta cheese (it may be the healthiest cheese in the world), roasted red peppers (read about the health benefits of red peppers), optional red chile peppers, extra-virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar and fresh garlic. The ingredients are simply whirled in a blender or food processor until smooth and creamy. Pour into a serving bowl and get ready to dip or spread!
This cold Greek-inspired feta dip is wonderful with cut-up fresh vegetables, served with tortilla or pita chips, spread on toasted bread or even used as a sandwich spread. Try a dollop on grilled chicken breasts, grilled steaks or dip boiled shrimp into it. There are so many ways to use this healthy dip!
