This easy beef and cabbage stir fry recipe has minimal prep, but you do need to allow time for the beef to marinate (at least one hour). Here is your shopping list for this simple Asian stir fry recipe: low-sodium soy sauce or tamari (tamari is gluten-free), rice vinegar, sesame oil, green onions, fresh ginger, brown sugar, garlic, sriracha sauce, flank steak (or whatever steak cut you like) and a head of green cabbage.
This beef stir fry cooks up in about 10 minutes in a skillet or wok. Serve this tender, juicy beef and soft cabbage over rice, Asian noodles or even quinoa. This is a great recipe for meal prepping, and reheats well for lunch or dinner the next day.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 - 5 green onions, sliced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 - 2 teaspoons sriracha (or to taste)
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, sirloin steak or your favorite steak for stir fries, sliced into thin strips
- 1 medium green cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups)

Recipe Notes
- For a change, try this recipe with savoy cabbage (aka Chinese cabbage).
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge to up to four days.
Here's how to make it:
- Combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, green onions, ginger, brown sugar, garlic and sriracha in a bowl or plastic food zipper bag. Add the sliced beef and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour and up to overnight.
- When ready to cook, remove the beef from the marinade (keep the remaining marinade). Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until just cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove steak to a plate.
- Add the cabbage and remaining marinade to the wok or skillet. Cook until cabbage is tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Season with black pepper, if desired. Put the steak back into the pan and heat through.
