15-Minute Sweet Chili Ground Turkey Bowl Recipe With Spicy Mayo

Usually I roll my eyes when I see a 15-minute recipe. Yeah, right. But this quick and easy sweet chili turkey bowl recipe with spicy mayo is really cooked and ready to eat in 15 minutes. The taste and flavor would be enough for me to make this ground turkey recipe again and again, but now that I know it's so quick, it'll be made quite often for lunch and dinner.

The ingredient list for this bowl is also short and simple, another bonus. To make this Asian-inspired turkey bowl recipe you need ground turkey, carrots, green onions, sweet chili sauce, ponzu sauce, sweet dark soy sauce, peanuts, a lime and rice or another grain for serving. You'll also need mayonnaise and sriracha for the simple spicy mayo. The recipe cooks in about 10 minutes!

The flavors and textures of this dish make you keep coming back for more. Serve this ground turkey bowl for lunch or dinner on those nights you want out of the kitchen fast.

Recipe Notes

  • Be sure to cut the carrots on a small dice so they cook quickly.
  • The peanuts are optional, but do add a nice crunch to the turkey bowl. You could use cashews or almonds instead.
  • This recipe serves two, but can easily be doubled for four servings.
  • I served mine over basmati rice, but you could also serve it over jasmine rice, white rice, brown rice or even quinoa.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Stir together the mayonnaise and sriracha, to taste, in a small bowl. Set side.
  2. Add a drizzle of cooking oil in a skillet. Add the carrots and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the ground turkey and chopped green onions. Cook until turkey is browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Add the sweet chili sauce, ponzu sauce and sweet dark soy sauce. Squeeze in the juice of 1 lime wedge.
  5. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes.
  6. Put cooked rice into the bottom of a bowl. Top with the ground turkey mixture. Garnish with the chopped peanuts and green onions. Drizzle with the spicy mayo. Serve with the remaining lime wedges.
