As many of you know, I make a lot of salmon recipes. That's because salmon is nutritious, delicious and really easy to make. To keep things interesting, I enjoy experimenting with sauces that provide a burst of flavor. That's exactly what happens with this mouth-watering lemon Dijonnaise baked salmon recipe.
The tartness of fresh lemon juice combines with the tanginess of Dijon mustard and the creaminess of mayonnaise to create an irresistibly moist and flavorful fish dinner that's ready in only about 20 minutes. Winner winner salmon dinner!
Here's your shopping list for this delicious dinner recipe: fresh salmon, fresh lemon juice, low-fat mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder and paprika. You prepare the sauce then spoon half of it over the salmon in a baking dish. After baking the salmon, you spoon the rest of the sauce over the salmon before serving.
I served this gluten-free salmon with my mashed potato muffins side dish, but it would be equally happy served over rice or pasta, to soak up the delicious sauce. This seafood recipe looks extra elegant but it's super easy, so you can make it for dinner any night of the week.

Ingredients
- 1 pound (16 ounces) fresh salmon filet
- 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Here's how to make it:
- Place the salmon filet in a casserole dish or baking pan lined with aluminum foil.
- In a small mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, paprika and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Feel free to use more or less mustard, paprika or garlic powder, depending on your tastes. If you don't have fresh lemon juice, you can use bottled in a pinch.
- Stir to combine and create the sauce.
- Using a spoon, place half of the sauce over the salmon, ensuring the salmon is covered in the sauce.
- Bake the salmon at 375 degrees F for about 15 minutes, or until desired doneness. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer.
- Remove from oven and spread the remaining sauce on top of the salmon. Serve with your favorite side dishes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
