Sensation salad dressing is my latest food discovery. Sensation salad dressing is a creamy, lemony, garlicy, cheesy and peppery vinaigrette that's popular in Louisiana. Who knew? The Romano cheese and cracked black pepper give it a distinct, refreshing taste. Is it a salad dressing or a vinaigrette? Who cares! This vinaigrette salad dressing is delicious!
To make this lemony, garlicy, cheesy salad dressing recipe you only need six ingredients and a blender. Here is your short gluten-free shopping list for this homemade Sensation salad dressing: white wine vinegar, lemons for juicing (fresh is best!), fresh garlic, black pepper (check out the health benefits of black pepper), extra-virgin olive oil, canola oil and Romano cheese (check out the health benefits of Romano cheese). Simply blend the ingredients until they become emulsified, creamy and delicious.
Romano (aka Pecorino Romano) cheese is a hard Italian cheese that's salty and has a sharp flavor. The sheep's milk cheese is occasionally made with goat's milk or cow's milk, especially in the U.S. If you can't find Romano cheese, you could use Parmesan as a substitute.
This easy Sensation salad dressing recipe is typically drizzled over lettuce, but can also be used to marinate chicken, shrimp, crab, fish and vegetables. Yes, this easy recipe is pretty sensational!
