• 1 pound strawberries, cleaned and sliced
•  3/4 cup sugar
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon vanilla

Here's how to make it:

1. Put the strawberries into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Refrigerate about 1 hour.
2. Pour the strawberries and their juice into a blender. Blend until smooth. 
3. Combine the strawberry puree with the heavy cream and vanilla. Refrigerate about 1 hour.
4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker. Process according to manufacturer's directions.
