Easter Nest Cake Recipe: The Easiest Easter Dessert Recipe Ever

Don't feel like putting a lot of time and effort into an elaborate Easter dessert? This easy Easter basket nest cake recipe may change your mind. The adorable Easter cake starts with a boxed cake mix and can be assembled in no time. Don't tell your friends and family how easy it is to make.

Prepare a box cake mix according to package directions in a bundt cake pan. Let the cake cool completely, then frost it with a tub of chocolate frosting. Grate a chocolate bar over the cake using a cheese grater, then fill the hole in the cake with pretzel sticks (the nest) and malted milk eggs (the eggs). Such a fun and easy dessert for Easter Day!

If you don't like malted milk eggs, use jelly beans or your favorite egg-shaped Easter candy. Want to make this cake even easier? Use a premade cake! Use this quick and easy cake as a centerpiece for your Easter table.

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix, plus ingredients to make it
  • 1 tub chocolate frosting
  • chocolate bars
  • pretzel sticks
  • malted milk eggs (Robin's Eggs)

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Bake the cake according to package directions for a bundt pan. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Frost the cake with the chocolate icing.
  3. Grate the chocolate bars over the top of the cake using a cheese grater.
  4. Fill the hole with pretzel sticks to create the nest.
  5. Add Robin's Eggs.
