With just two ingredients, a Godfather is more of a Scotch drink than a cocktail. Disaronno, the Italian amaretto liqueur producer, claims the drink originated in the '70s and was a favorite of Marlon Brando, who played Vito Corleone in The Godfather. Sounds plausible to us.
You'll need:
- 2 ounces Scotch or bourbon
- 1/2 ounce amaretto
Here's how to make it:
- Pour the Scotch and amaretto into a whiskey glass. Stir.
- Add one large ice cube (preferred) or regular ice cubes. Serve.
