Recipes Using Scotch: This Godfather Cocktail Recipe Is Marlon Brando Approved

With just two ingredients, a Godfather is more of a Scotch drink than a cocktail. Disaronno, the Italian amaretto liqueur producer, claims the drink originated in the '70s and was a favorite of Marlon Brando, who played Vito Corleone in The Godfather. Sounds plausible to us.

You'll need:

  • 2 ounces Scotch or bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce amaretto

Here's how to make it:

  • Pour the Scotch and amaretto into a whiskey glass. Stir.
  • Add one large ice cube (preferred) or regular ice cubes. Serve.
