Apple cider is a staple during the fall. Add a little bourbon and some fizzy ginger ale, and you've got yourself a refreshing fall and winter cocktail.

You'll need:

2 ounces apple cider
1 ounce bourbon
2 ounces ginger ale
mint leaves or cinnamon stick, for garnish (optional)

Here's how to make it:

Pour the apple cider and bourbon into a drink shaker that's filled with ice. Shake.
Strain into a glass filled with ice.
Add a splash of ginger ale. Garnish with mint leaves or a cinnamon stick, if desired. Serve.
