This chocolate pudding recipe is easy, creamy and will take you back to more simple days – when people used to cook their pudding. Serve the pudding as is or add toppings like whipped cream, berries, chocolate chips, sliced banana, chia seeds, shredded coconut, goji berries, cocoa nibs, M&Ms, grated dark chocolate, etc.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- pinch of salt
- 4 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Here’s how to make it:
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Whisk in milk.
- Bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the butter and vanilla.
- Pour into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill.
