Sock-It-to-Me Cake Recipe: This Cinnamon Bundt Cake Recipe Will Knock Your Socks Off

Not sure how this cinnamon cake got its name, but it's been a family favorite for years. Loaded with cinnamon, pecans and coconut, this sock-it-to-me cake recipe is sure to please.

You'll need:

Cinnamon-Sugar Filling

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Here's how you make it:

  1. For cinnamon-sugar filling, combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. For the cake, combine the cake mix, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and oil in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
  4. Add vanilla, sour cream, coconut and pecans. Mix well.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the bottom of a well-greased bundt pan. Tilt the pan around to coat the entire pan. Pour in half the batter. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar over the top. Top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 1 hour.  Sprinkle additional pecans on top after unmolding, if desired.

Thank you, Elisa All 30SecondMom! It's a great cake to take to potlucks or when you need to take a dessert anywhere. It travels really well and you can even slice it first and arrange it on a platter.

Just found out this is Michael Strahan's favorite cake. Good choice!! Disclaimer: I have no idea if this is the same recipe she uses. :-) But this is a good one!

My mom use to make this ALL THE TIME! Thank you so much for this. It brings back a flood of memories and I can smell that cinnamon coming from her oven. She was a great baker and cook as well. You can’t eat just 1 piece of this it’s so good. I use to take another and nibble the middle right out of it! I don’t think her recipe called for coconut in it and she put chopped walnuts in hers. DELISH.
