They're really good -- and easy, @beyondthepark. Thought it was weird when I first made them years and years ago using mayo, but it works!

Mrs John thank you for I forgot to thank you for listing all the ingredients and what type of equipment we should cook it in and cook each meal with in all your other wonderful cooks I forgot about the significance of certain type of equipment I was told or read or saw it on one of those cooking programs at an iron skillet is a very good pot to cook in because it it retains all those irons and you know nutrients and in silicone is a good product also I'm wondering do you use most of those and if so what do you suggest for this kind of dish or one of the bread dishes I commented on or any casserole dishes thanks for any tips and you're cooking is lovely and cooking is a release for most of us and appreciate it do you have any sweet potato recipes I'm not sure if I remember any blips so we have a chance can you post some any of you wonderful cooks thanks

Thank you for the nice words! Rosseyes

I absolutely love my cast iron skillet and use it all the time. I actually never put it up! It stays on the stovetop. Are you looking for any sweet potato recipe in particular? Here are a few: food: 17 Best Sweet Potato Recipes: Creative Recipes Using Sweet Potatoes – and a Few Classics, Too

These are so good, and incredibly easy and fast! I've made them just about every day for two weeks, because they're so versatile - good with dinner, but a real treat for breakfast with butter and jam, or honey and peanut butter, or peanut butter with a slice of banana...the varieties are endless!
Now I'm wondering if you'd tried or heard of any optional add-ins, maybe herbs or finely-chopped dried fruit, or even garlic added to the butter?
If the sugar isn't a required element, could it be reduced or omitted for more savory add-ins?

Thanks for such a quick and yummy recipe!

I am so happy that you are enjoying this recipe! I started making this recipe over 30 years ago. One of our favorites! I don't see why you couldn't stir in herbs, chopped garlic or garlic powder. That sounds delicious! rcatheron
