Bringing Back Family Movie Night: 25 Movies to Watch With Your Kids Kids

Long gone are the days when my kids watched Toy StoryShrek and Kung Fu Panda over and over. While I don’t miss watching the same movie on repeat, I do miss the togetherness, everyone cuddled up on the couch, eating popcorn. So this summer my husband and I decided to make an effort to spend more time watching TV and movies together as a family.

Here’s a list of some television shows we have already watched and enjoyed, as well as those that are on our must-see list:

  • "America’s Got Talent"
  • "Impractical Jokers"
  • "The Masked Singer"
  • "Press Your Luck" (A favorite game show from my childhood is back!)

And here are the movies we have enjoyed or plan to soon. (Note: Our sons are 13 and almost 10. For movie ratings and recommendations, visit Common Sense Media.) Which movies and shows are on your must-see list?

Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead awesome list of movies! I just watched Mary Poppins with the girls. For the shows list, another fun one we like to watch is "Nailed It" on Netflex. It's a baking show with contestants that don't have the best baking skills. It's silly and so fun to watch.

You're the second person to recommend Nailed It. I need to check it out!

The only movie we have been able to sit through as a family is Mary Poppins and it's a crowd pleaser every time! Hopefully we can use your list in years to come.
