"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri": A Tragic, Satirical Look at Human Nature Opinion Activities

For the first time in 12 years my husband gave his "review" in the middle of a movie while viewing "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri." He enthusiastically exclaimed, "This movie is REALLY good!" And he was right! The film, starring Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, is full of fury, angst, dark comedy and honesty.

McDormand plays a mother who rents three billboards to draw the sheriff's (Harrelson) attention back to her daughter's unsolved murder after months of no leads. I found myself drawn completely into the story although it was more shocking and brutal than I anticipated.

I appreciated the unpredictability of the characters, particularly Rockwell's Officer Dixon, even though it left me feeling uncomfortable much of the time. While it's not for the faint of heart, this superbly acted R-rated film with various twists and turns makes a great date-night movie.

Yes! I've been wanting to see this movie for weeks now. With a cast like that, it has to be good. May try to squeeze it in this weekend. Thanks for the review, Kimberly Johnson !
