Overdrive App: This Free App Is How to Feed Your Inner Bookworm While Traveling! Hacks Vacation Planning

Traveling so often, I need to be careful how much weight I have in my suitcase. One of my favorite apps, Overdrive, allows me to keep my suitcase lighter while still keeping the bookworm in me happy.

Overdrive is a free app that connects with the public library system to allow users to check out audio and ebooks for free from anywhere in the world. All you need is a library card from your local library and a smartphone, reader or tablet.

The app allows you to borrow any books available, or if they are not available there is a waiting list feature or create a wish list of books to read in the future. I keep my list of books to read there so I am organized.

Even if I am not traveling I love having a book on my phone (there is a Kindle format for download as well). So, if I am stuck in a long line or early for an appointment I can get my reading fix. Plus, I love not spending so much money feeding my reading habit.
