Presidential Libraries: Why You Need to Visit Them When You Travel! U.S. Travel Traveling With Kids Family Vacations

It's funny. We used to tease my dad because every time we were on a vacation he made sure that if there was a Presidential Library anywhere near us, we'd visit. And now, I'm so glad. It doesn't matter your politics – your kids will get a hands-on history lesson and you'll be reminded of how great each person is who has served our nation.

OK, well, my son is named after a distant relative, President Buchanan, who many consider the worst president. Still, it's history. It's important. They'll remember – and pass along that love to their kids. I did.

Thanks Kaira Rouda for adding presidential history to our travels - Obama's library will be in Chicago!
