Meet Pat: Just an Average Guy & Dad Thoughtfully Learning About Life As It Happens by Pat Wilson
Just thought I’d let you know who I am and why I’m here. I’m Pat. I’m a husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother ... just an average guy. I’m the Assistant News Director at a mid-market TV station. It’s a very interesting career. My biggest regret is not starting a journal from day one. Oh, the stories I could tell!
Three of my four kids are in college. The other is a fantastic mom to my two granddaughters. My wife works and also goes to school. So why am I here? Why do I think I have anything to offer? I guess that’s up to you.
My friend, Jessica Acree, a fellow 30Seconds contributor, inspired me to do this. We’ve been talking a lot about where we are and where we’re going. I’ve been reading your posts. I’ve learned that there are a lot of “average guys (and gals)” out there. We’re all living loving and learning. We’ve faced the challenges and joys of parenting. We’re trying to stretch a buck. Figuring out what we want from life.
My goal is to share what I’ve learned about being a dad, traveling, getting healthy and whatever else fills this average guy’s mind. I hope you’ll glean something from what I’ve done well, and what I could have done better. So, if you’ll have me I’ll give it a shot.
