My first sip of an Aperol spritz was surreal. Why? Because I was sitting by Lake Maggiore watching the sunset over the mountains in Stresa, Italy. Could there be a better place to first experience this Italian apéritif? Here's a simple recipe for an Aperol spritz that you can try at home.
You'll need:
- 1/4 cup Aperol
- 1/2 cup prosecco
- 1 slice orange or blood orange
- ice
Here's how to make it:
- Pour the Aperol into a glass. Add ice.
- Pour in the prosecco.
- Garnish with the orange slice. Makes one drink.
