Peaceful Mornings: 6 Ways Moms Can Get Organized & Start Their Days With Clarity!

When moms put themselves first, they may feel much calmer when handling their kids' endless needs. Here's how to get your day started nicely and set a peaceful tone: 

  • Before kids are ready for breakfast, create mommy time. Wake up an hour before your family to enjoy a cup of coffee with your thoughts. 
  • Check your calendar to get your mind around the plans you've made for the day. 
  • Plot your to-do's for the day while being mindful not to overwhelm yourself. 
  • Answer emails and return texts. 
  • Use leftover time to surf social media, pet your cat, stare at the ceiling. 
  • Get dressed and game on!

Great list, Eirene Heidelberger ! I definitely plot my to-do's, but then I get quickly overwhelmed, LOL! I am trying to meditate before I start my day. I find that deep breathing helps (also at the end of the day)!

I'll join in here. I always get up at least 45 minutes to an hour before my son on school days. I couldn't function otherwise. Definitely meditation and reading from a book that just inspires me as I sip my coffee. Then game on. @eirenent. Thanks for your he clarity of this tip.

So gonna try this Eirene Heidelberger ! I so need to wake up earlier but like Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead said I need to get to sleep earlier.. I find myself decompressing and doing catch up at night after everyone is in bed.
