The Tribe Effect: What It Means to Be a 30Seconds Contributor! by Ann Marie Patitucci

I have been writing for 30Seconds since May of 2015 (check out my contributor profile page here). I had found the advice on the site both helpful and inspiring, and loved the idea that maybe I could inspire others, too. As a writer I appreciate being able to submit at any time on a variety of topics, and the length of the tips makes it easy to do so regularly.
What I’ve found, though, is that 30Seconds has given me much more than a creative outlet and a platform for my writing. It has given me a community. The tribe, as we like to call it (led by fierce and fearless leader Elisa All Schmitz), is the most supportive community one could hope to belong to. We share each other’s work and products, and we celebrate each other’s successes. Because of this support, and the extent of 30Seconds’ reach, we are able to connect with a much larger audience than we ever could on our own.
This community is uplifting and powerful. I’m so blessed to have a tribe of local girlfriends; since becoming a 30Seconds contributor, my little local tribe has expanded into what I’ve come to think of as my global tribe. As a result I have learned about myriad topics; grown as a writer; felt empowered as a parent and woman; and met the most talented, innovative and inspiring people. This tribe has certainly made my life better (30 seconds at a time!), and I am grateful.
