Random Acts of Kindness: 15 Easy Random Acts of Kindness to Do With Your Kids

Looking for a meaningful way to spend time with your kids? How about doing random acts of kindness together? You’ll create memories, make others happy and teach your kids about selflessness. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  1. Leave notes with inspirational messages in random places.
  2. Create a CD for a family going on a road trip.
  3. Make a blessing bag for a homeless person.
  4. Bake cookies for neighbors.
  5. Help care for an elderly neighbor’s garden.
  6. Send letters to friends who live far away.
  7. Leave coupons you don’t need next to the products so others can use them.
  8. Volunteer at an animal shelter.
  9. Write thank you notes for the special people in your lives.
  10. Deliver cold water to those who work outside in the heat.
  11. Deliver hand warmers to those who work outside in the cold.
  12. Donate well-loved toys.
  13. Pick up trash at your local park.
  14. Make a scrapbook for a loved one.
  15. Call friends and family just to say hi.

Ask your kids to come up with their own ideas, too.

Here’s what inspired this post. . . I know an awesome teenager who was battling cancer. She was hoping to meet Taylor Swift by getting Facebook likes.
