Letting Go Is a Process for a Reason: How & Why to Be Gentle With Yourself! Mindfulness

The last thing I want to do when I am hurt is to open my heart to the pain and feel my feelings. Unfortunately, we are saturated, we witness traumatic events daily in the media, with close personal family and friends and we have our own stories. These layers overlap in complexity and depth and the healing process is not linear. Hence the expression, "The straw that broke the camel’s back."

We have all been there. Oftentimes, before you can feel the raw underbelly, like a bomb that just exploded in your heart, you need to gather the pieces. The next time someone says, "You just need to let it go," remember it is a process and be very gentle with yourself. Find support, people that will be able to relate to the depth of your pain and your experience of it.
