How to Enjoy Life More: My Simple Secret to a Happy & Healthy Life

This month I turned 67 years old! I’m not afraid to tell everyone how old I am. Why? Because no one believes me. Everyone thinks I’m 20 years younger. My secret? Find what you enjoy and do it.

I teach ballroom dancing in my home studio. I have been a dance teacher for 40 years. Not only am I able to get exercise, but I’m listening to music all day long. My students come to me – no traffic for me! Every day I’m able to talk and laugh with fun and exciting people. When people say they can’t wait to retire, I can’t even imagine that concept because I’m doing what I most enjoy.

The other day my health insurer gave me the standard questions about my health. I was almost embarrassed to admit I have no health issues, no medications, no hospitalizations, etc. I think my good health is due not only to good genes, but to a happy lifestyle. I do something I love, and it shows. Ask yourself:

  • What do you love
  • What do you happily immerse yourself in completely?

That is what you should do. Your career choice. If you find your happy place, you’ll also find your healthy place.

What do you love to do?
