You're Beautiful Just How You Are: The Power of Positive Thoughts

Positive views about ourselves can change our day, week, month, year, etc., from a bad one to a great one. Positive views of yourself, no matter how old you are, is something we all should live with daily. I know it is easier said than done, but just start small.

One small way to start is to dress as yourself. If your beautiful is glammed out, then do it. If it’s jeans and a comfy shirt, wear it. Sweats? Then sport those sweats! For one day just be you – don’t pay attention to anyone’s opinions.

Then get back here and tell us how you felt. Because we as women need to feel beautiful once in a while without worrying about what others think. How we see ourselves is just as important to us as it is for our children. If they "see" the positive thoughts about how you see your body, they will feel comfortable feeling great about their bodies, too (this is the hope I have).

What I want for my children is for them to feel beautiful no matter what others may think or say as they get older. Because, let’s face it, growing older is hard enough with all the pressure we face, without having to worrying about what others think, too.

Just remember: You are beautiful just how you are.
