So I saw this recipe and figured it was likely one of those recipes that promise great things, and deliver okay, but require not expecting it to taste like something "real." I figured it would be tasty enough, and I had half a bag of the dates waiting to be used somehow. OH MY. These things are amazing!! Kind of like a cross between fudge and a good dark chocolate cookie. The nutrition numbers are amazingly low on the stuff I really don't need to be eating. My only disappointment is that I only had 7 (not 16) dates to try it with....
