Avocado Toast Ideas: How & Why to Use Fresh Nasturtium Flowers From the Garden on Your Avocado Toast Lunch Snacks

I grow flowers called nasturtiums. The flower and the leaf are edible and the seeds taste like capers! I learned that nasturtiums have health benefits and are packed with vitamin A, C and D. Nasturtium is easy to grow and I am going to add it as a yearly thing to grow in my garden. There is a slight peppery taste to nasturtiums. I added the fresh flowers on my avocado toast.

You'll need:

Here's how to make it:

  1. Mash the avocado.
  2. Toast the bread.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado on the bread. Top with the chopped tomato, nasturtiums and freshly ground Himalayan salt. Eat!

So pretty! I have never heard of nasturtiums before, but I'm going to try to grow some in my garden. Beautiful and apparently good for you, too. Who knew? Plus, I love avocado toast. Thanks for sharing, Tiffany C ! #yum
