Ingredients
- frozen cheesecake, angel food cake or pound cake
- whipped cream or sour cream
- fresh blueberries and strawberries
Recipe Notes
- Put the berries into a colander and run them under cold water to wash them. Be sure to dry them thoroughly before placing on the cake.
- You can decorate the frozen cake and let it thaw on the counter. By the time dessert rolls around, it should be thawed.
- Store any leftover cake in an airtight container in the fridge.
Here's how to make it:
- Spread the top of the thawed cheesecake, angel food cake or pound cake with the whipped cream or sour cream.
- Top with fresh berries in a circular design. If it’s July 4th, use blueberries and strawberries for a festive red, white and blue dessert. You can also assemble them in the shape of a flag.
