Salmon is one of the healthiest fish you can eat. Salmon is a nutritious and delicious part of the heart-healthy Mediterranean Diet. This quick and easy Caesar salmon bites recipe is prepped and on the table in only about 10 minutes. These high-protein salmon nuggets are a wonderful dinner or appetizer. This baked salmon recipe is one of my new favorite seafood recipes not only because of taste, but also because you get the health benefits of salmon and the health benefits of protein in every scrumptious bite.
To make this moist broiled salmon recipe, you will need just a few simple ingredients. Here is your short gluten-free shopping list: salmon fillets, creamy Caesar salad dressing (I like the kind made with yogurt), fresh garlic, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, lemons for zesting and optional cayenne pepper for a little spice.
Serve the baked salmon nuggets as a high-protein lunch or dinner with your favorite side dishes. We like to serve them as a healthy snack or a fun appetizer when we have friends and family over. I'll bet you'll even be asked for the recipe!

Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon fillet, center cut and skinless (about 1 inch thick), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons yogurt Caesar salad dressing, plus more for serving
- 2 medium cloves garlic, grated (1 teaspoon)
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper (divided)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest, plus wedges for serving
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Preheat the broiler with the rack in the center of the oven. In a medium mixing bowl, add the Caesar dressing, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, lemon zest and cayenne, if using. Season with salt to taste. Mix well.
- Add the salmon to the bowl and stir to coat salmon completely.
- Place the salmon on a aluminum foil-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Place in the oven and broil for 3 to 4 minutes. (The USDA says salmon should be cooked to 145 degrees F internal temperature on a food thermometer.)
- Serve on a platter with a sprig of basil, if desired, and Caesar dressing for dipping. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
