Making your own nut butters, like almond, peanut, cashew, sunflower, etc., is healthy, cost-effective and easy. Plus, kids love it! Using your food processor, the nut of your choice and a little canola or olive oil, you'll have your own butter in no time.
You'll need:
- 2 cups nuts
- 1 - 2 tablespoons canola or olive oil
Here's how to make it:
- Process the nuts until they climb the sides and look real grainy. Scrape the sides of the bowl.
- Slowly add in the oil until you reach the texture of your choice.
Remember, this is your mix, so make it to your personal taste. Store in the fridge and enjoy!
