The Best Creamy Italian Dressing Recipe From a Salad Dressing Snob

The first thing I do in a restaurant when I order a salad is ask which of their salad dressings are homemade. (A good restaurant will say all of them.) If it's just one dressing, that's the one that I'll ask for on my salad. Yes, I'm kind of a salad dressing snob now. No apologies. One of my favorite salad dressings is creamy Italian. A friend of mine shared her recipe for homemade creamy Italian, and I'm hooked.

This creamy Italian salad dressing recipe is beyond easy to make. Everything is thrown into a blender and whirled until emulsified and smooth. Season with salt and fresh cracked black pepper, then drizzle over your favorite salad.

To make this creamy Italian dressing you will need red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic, sour cream, mayo or yogurt, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. This creamy dressing is delicious over spring greens, Mediterranean salads, Greek salads, Italian chopped salads and even drizzled over grain salads.
